What Happens When You Are Drunk

This is an awesome video of what you think happens when you are drunk and what really happens.  When watching the video mouse over the video to see what really happens.

These are exactly some of the reasons why drinking to excess is stupid and why I'm quite proud to live a sober life.

Hey hello i just found your blog, having been interested in going straight edge (no alcohol, no nicotine, no drugs at all) for quite a time now. There was a time when i was not drinking any alcohol, and i felt so much better. So... after seeing this video it's kind of settled now! I am going straight edge, true for life^^. Thank you for sharing this!

hey there! I read your blog till your posts of 2007 and you made an entry on 'people that are straight edge but don't listen to hardcore' wanted to post there but my laptop went crazy. Like the video above!!!
I am a 20 year old woman from Germany and I always played with the thought of becoming straight edge .. basically for 1 year now. And I finally became for 6 months now.
I don't smoke, don't drink alcohol (don't eat food with alcohol or that was cooked in alcohol or just even tastes like alcohol)and of course don't do drugs. I feel so much better with that choice. Hardcore music is not really something I am into, I defenetly get the lyrics (I do LOVE some of them!) and the energy- but I the type of music is not really my thing.
It may sound lame but my main reason why I became straight edge was first I was sick of feeling like trash after a drunky night and secondly because I got to know some very interesting guys in a club that have more charisma and energy than all drunky bastars altogehter! It made a huge impression on me! I am from bavaria, and here drinking is a huge part of the culture. I am often in situations when I am just silly, loud and having fun.. and people ask 'are you drunk??!'. Strange people.
At the beginning I was a bit arrogant about me being pure, clean and free (like straight edgers woud say :-) and I guess it's easy to become arrogant abuot it but I talked to good friends and realized that ..well it's just a choice. I made a choice and other people made their choice. I accept theirs and they accept mine.
I made the experience that people often react very positively to me not smoking and not drinking.
I have a lot of respect of people and I try not to judge from 'are you edge or not'. I am only 20 but I had a time in my life when I was drunk nearly 4/5 days a week. So I REALLY DO see the difference and why I am here and WHY I made the choice I made. I don't want to say that people that never did drugs have missed on experience, but I guess it's something different if you start being edge from a drug (alcohol and cigarettes) related past. It makes a bigger impression on yourSELF. Within.
Well, that's my grain of salt to the topic. Keep up the good work on the blog! Greetings Gina.

i used to call myself straight edge from the time i was 13 to about 19, then i decided fuck it i'm going to start drinking. now i'm 24 and a recovering heroin addict. i'm clean today and free of all drugs including alcohol, but its a LOT easier to never pick up the first one than to get clean and stay clean.

I totally agree with this, but what's wrong with drinking about 1 beer a month and enjoying it? Don't you like the taste or are there other reasons against drinking some alcohol?
Greetings (:

Judith: To us who are Straight Edge, we feel that alcohol is a poison which damages your mind and body. It changes who you are and how you act with other people. To us it's not worth it drink alcohol even once a month because even one drink can affect your mind and body.
